Before you start

Clear 2 × 2 m of floor and lay out the parts.
15 parts and 72 fasteners in 5 steps.
You'll want a screwdrivers and a claw hammer and a tape measure and a drill and a marker and a spirit level.
Do not overcut inside corners of stringer notches with a circular saw; finish with a handsaw to preserve structural throat depth.
Anchor kick plate solidly to bottom floor framing to resist outward staircase thrust.
